Course content
1) Culture of Kievan Rus. 2) Christianisation and the development of literature, the first written relics - Nestor's Russian Chronicle, Word of Regiment Igorov. 3) Culture, art and architecture of Moscow Russia. Moscow Kremlin, St. Basil's Cathedral, iconography, letterpress development. 4) Reforms of Peter I. Influence of ideas of French Enlightenment in literature and painting. 5) Literature of the 18th century. - classicism, sentimentalism. 6) Literature of the 19th century. - the transition from romanticism to realism and critical realism. West and Slavophilia. 7) Fine art in the 19th century. (painters "peredvižnici"). 8) Russian literature and culture at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries 9) Russian avant-garde 10) Russian culture and totalitarian regime in the first half of the 20th century 11) Russian culture of the 20th century in exile 12) Transformations of Russian culture in the second half of the 20th century 13) Russian culture at present
