Course content
|
Geographic Research and GIS. How to acquire geo-data from primary sources. Secondary sources of geo-information. Use of maps on the Internet. Creating thematic maps. Land use maps. Assessment of point distribution. ArcGIS Online and its usage. Creation of surfaces (continuous field). Analysis via a digital terrain model. Creating surfaces through other methods - Inverse Distance Weighted, Voronoi diagrams. Analysis through spatial overlap methods. Analysis through map algebra. Regionalization with the support of GIS, classification and typology of regions. Analysis of transport accessibility and modelling of traffic networks.
