Introduction to studies of geography of leisure time and tourism?research, planning and management of leisure time and tourism Explanation of basic terms: leisure time, tourism, types and forms of tourism, boom factors of tourism; development of leisure time since antiquity; current problems of tourism with emphasis on the Czech Republic and states of Central Europe Leisure time behavior of a population and its spatial coherence; factors with impact on spatial leisure time behavior of a population (sociological approach) Tourism demand and its research; tourism demand in the Czech Republic and in Germany Regional tourism supply (1); natural preconditions for tourism development and methods of their evaluation (relief, climate, waters, flora, fauna) Regional tourism supply (2); social preconditions and methods of their evaluation (cultural-historic preconditions and so-called preconditions of realization ? tourism infrastructure) Management and marketing of centers and regions of tourism; current development and problems explained on examples (the Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland) Current development and problems of tourism in the Czech Republic and selected states of the European Union (Austria, Germany, Spain) Consequences of tourism development for a region; economic, ecologic and socio-cultural impacts of tourism; tourism area capacity Spending of leisure time in cities; suburban tourism and town tourism (show on examples: town of Cheb, Pilsen) Tourism in nature-protected areas (nature parks, protected landscape areas); ecological tourism, examples from the Czech Republic and from abroad Health tourism and spa; current development and problems of selected spa resorts Main regions and centers of tourism in the world
