prerequisite
Knowledge
An at least fundamental instruction concerning Hussite Wars is required. This section is dealing substantially not with the history of Hussite Wars (regard synopsis!), but with the ?second life? of events and personages in the historical consciousness of different epochs. Ideally should both sections be visited parallel; or this one after having completed Czech history of Middle Ages, where Hussite Wars are actually analyzed.
learning outcomes
Student (s): Can get orientated about different opinions and points of view to the Hussite Wars. Can specify the fluctuating reception of the Hussite Wars in the historical consciousness in past and present times, at home and abroad. Can apply the elaborated patterns concerning the "second life" of the Hussite Wars in order to assess the reception of other historical events in the historical consciousness, before the background of Czech and world wide history. Can get orientated in the basic concepts connected generally with the genesis and mechanism of historical consciousness/ traditions. Can analyze and discuss historical tradition. Can interpret sources and use literature concerning the representation of Hussite Wars in the historical consciousness, applying them in practice.
