Course content
This discipline is aimed to deep and broad the knowledge from previous courses with emphasis on the educational use at a later teaching practice. Therefore, the selected topics are studied according to the curriculum. Attention will be paid to current textbooks and contemporary historiography and application of new knowledge in teaching. Selected topics: The Crisis of the Late Middle Ages, new economic forms, Renaissance, overseas discoveries and the beginnings of European expansion, a professional state versus emerging centralist absolutism, professional and civic rebellion revolution, the Thirty Years War, the Turkish question, the European absolutism and enlightenment, enlightened absolutism, the comparative development of the main European areas, the Industrial Revolution, modern political revolution (the U.S., France, Central Europe, Russia and others.) National Movement and the emergence of new states, wars, 19th and 20 century, colonialism and decolonization, great power rivalry and contemporary efforts of the new stabilization and integration.

Students must have the factual knowledge of the history of modern times, knowledge of professional and non-fiction literature to this topic and acquaintance of didactics of History.
learning outcomes
Students will learn and practise different techniques and forms of teaching modern period. They assess the school's practice and afterwards they will choose the most suitable forms for themselves. Students distinguished various textbooks and teaching materials suitable for teaching the history of modern times, justify their choices and they will work effectively with them in teaching of history. Students will present their own ideas and effective teaching ideas and they will apply them in school practice. Student will work with modern technology used for presenting and they will use miscellaneous information and communication technology.
