Course content
|
This discipline is aimed at deepening and broadening the knowledge from previous courses with emphasis on the educational use at a later teaching practice. Therefore, the selected topics are studied according to national curriculum. Attention will be paid to current textbooks and contemporary historiography and application of new knowledge in teaching. Topics: The genesis of the Middle Ages, the so-called Migration, the beginnings of European countries, the medieval universalism versus national particularism, Christianity and the Church, the Papacy, the struggle for investiture, the Crusades, a conflict with Islam, comparative development of the main European regions, Slavic statehood, medieval culture and economy, the Middle Ages in Czech and European context, Central European history.

It demonstrates the knowledge of different methods and forms, evaluates it and in school practice chooses the ones most suitable for teaching the history of the Middle Ages. The student recognizes textbooks and didactic aids suitable for teaching the history of the Middle Ages, justifies their choice and effectively works with them in teaching history. Students present their own didactic ideas and apply them effectively in school practice. The student works with modern presentation techniques, uses information and communication technologies in teaching history. |
