Course content
The topics discussed are taken from the point of view of didactic use: 1. Founders of Czech National Music and founders of Czech modern music. The importance of Leoš Janáček, Vítězslav Novák and Bohuslav Martinů for Czech music of the 20th century. 2. Contemporary founders of Czech modern music. Czech interwar avant-garde. 3. Miroslav Kabeláč and Klement Slavický. Essential personalities born around 1910 4. Significant bearers of the updated Czech musical tradition of birth in 1900 1920. Václav Trojan, Jan Hanuš and Jiří Pauer 5. Generation born between 1920-1930. Vladimir Sommer (1921 1997) and his Vocal Symphony 6. Generation born between 1920-1930. Karel Husa (1921) and his Music for Prague 1969 7. Generation born between 1920-1930. Svatopluk Havelka (1925-2009) and his oratorium Jeroným Pražský 8. Generation born between 1920-1930. Petr Eben (1929 2007), author of the Truver Mass and the famous organ compositions 9. Other important personalities of the illustrious generation Ilja Hurník (1922-2013), Otmar Mácha (1922-2006) and the creative association Quattro Lukáš, Bodorová, Fišer 10. Viktor Kalabis (1923-2006), Jan Novák (1921, 1984) 11. Brno School and Marek Kopelent 12. Generation of composers born after 1945, today's creative centers and festivals of contemporary music. 13. The aesthetic scope of the core works and the reflection of the listening practice
