Course content
Systematic interpretation complemented by listening to songs selected representative. Basic introduction to the history of European and Czech music from the early 19th to the early 20th century. The most important personalities, events and works of music history. Stylish specifics developmental periods. Background The development of music in Europe and in the Czech lands. Lectures: Music and rozvitého early Romantic period (first half of the 19th century). Czech music of the first half of the 19th century (1810-1860). Music neo (about the second half of the 19th century). Czech music of the 19th century (1860-1890). Music of the late 19th century late romanticism. Italian opera verism. The subject suposes the basic knowledge form general history and history of culture, music history from starting of 17. century.
learning outcomes
1) Knowledge: Knowledge of reality and basic terminology of music history in the early 17th century, remember the main period of development of periodization of music and the main figures in the early 17th century, enumerate and describe the basic types of music in early 17th century. 2) Understanding: Explain the basic terms of music history into the early 17th century, distinguish the basic concept of periodization and interpretation of music industry history, and explain the specific sub-periods, types of musical environment and types of musical 3) Application: Building up of basic overview of the development of music in Europe and the Czech lands in the early 17th century. Each period of musical development, musical types, composers put into general historical, political, social, cultural contexts, etc. 4) Analysis: Comparison and analysis of the specifics of the musical development, musical types, compositional personalities. 5) Synthesis: Summary of the problems of musical development in Europe and in Czech lands in the early 17th century. Identification and formulation of the specifics of the Czech musical development in Europe. 6) Evaluation: Take and assess the main trends in the development of music in the early 17th century. Formulate the basic principles of the formation of Western music into the early 17th century. Summarize the importance of musical development in the early 17th century for the current world music culture
