Content of lectures: Rock music of the 70s and 80s - new wave, punk rock, hard rock, art rock etc. Rock music of the 70s and 80s - heavy metal, American neorock, new romanticism etc. Current modern popular music - rap , dance & trance, outstanding personalities of contemporary popular music. Ambient music, world music. Alternative music and its personality. Folk music in the world and its personality. Musical. The development of jazz music in Bohemia until World War II. The Czech scene: the development of jazz music from the 80s, contemporary jazz, rock music up to the 1960s, rock music to the present, tramp and folk music.
