Course content
1. selection of the topic for which the literature will be chosen (it is recommended to choose a topic related to the BC. thesis) 1.1. how to select the topic, subject and objective [lecture] 1.2. presentation of the topic in the seminar 2. selection of literature 2.1. how to select literature, abstracts and résumés, difference between résumé and conclusion, libraries, catalogues and databases [lecture] 2.2. primary and secondary literature [lecture] 2.3. presentation of literature selection in the classroom 3. literature processing [lectures] 3.1. critical evaluation and selection of essential 3.2. working with the text, extracts and notes 4. basics of scholarly work - how to produce a scholarly text: citations, ethics and note-taking [lectures] 4.1. structuring the text and formalities 4.2. citation, citation ethics and plagiarism, citation standards 4.3. annotation 5. basics of scientific work - how to compose a scientific text: theory of argumentation [lectures] 5.1. vagueness, ambiguity and unambiguity 5.2. argument and support for claims 5.3. argumentative fallacies 6. understanding the professional text 6.1. text1 and discussion of it 6.2. text2 and discussion of it
