Course content
Selected topics: European colonies in North America. - War of Independence. - Expansion to the West, dealing with the indigenous peoples. - The problem of slavery, North against South. - U.S. and the First World War. - The world economic crisis of the thirties. - U.S. in World War II. - Movement for Human Rights. - USA and the role of "world policeman".
