Course content
The preparation of a bachelor's thesis is a necessary condition for passing the state bachelor's examination in bachelor's study fields guaranteed by the Department of Mathematics. The topic of the thesis is assigned within the deadline published on the department's website. The supervisor of the thesis will give the student a timetable for the work and detailed instructions on how to approach the thesis both professionally and methodologically. In the first part of the project, the student familiarizes himself with the relevant literature and makes a selection of appropriate methods. The student reports on his/her work to the supervisor or to other students in a seminar designed for this purpose. The second part is devoted to the actual research work, consultation with the supervisor, writing up the thesis, editing and subsequent completion of the project.
