Course content
The final state examination is an oral examination in front of a committee. The usual duration is approximately 30-45 minutes, with about 15 minutes per subject. The rules are given by the Department of Mathematics according to the Study and Examination Regulations of the University of West Bohemia. The main topics of this examination are announced by the Department of Mathematics annually. By signing up for this examination, the student chooses one of the specializations within the study field Mathematics. This selection usually corresponds to the choice of the topic of the student's Master thesis.
