Introduction to nondestructive testing; scope, definitons, methods of nondestructive testing (NDT) Overview of defects, Introduction to quantitative nondestructive evaluation (NDE), fracture control philosophy, applications of NDE reliability to systems Visual testing Liquid penetrant testing Magnetic particle (leakage field) testing, eddy current inspection, electromagnetic testing Radiographic testing, neutron radiographic testing Acousting emission inspection Ultrasonic testing Thermal/infrared testing Leak testing
