Overview of lecture topics: 1. Surface properties. 2. Principles of product protection. 3. Corrosion, wear and failure of coating. 4. Preliminary surface treatments (mechanical, grease removal, pickling). 5. Inorganic coating (chemical, enamel, spray). 6. Metal coatings and layers (chemical, thermal, galvanic). 7. Organic coating (paintings, plastics). 8. Technology of surface treatment, environment protection. 9. Testing of quality of surface treatment.
