Course content
|
Meaning, use, division, characteristics, and complex processing of wood materials. Wood structure and characteristics. Multifunction of forests, forest growing, Wood cutting and wood processing. Macroscopic and microscopic structure of wood. Anatomic functions of wood. Mechanic and technologic wood characteristics, Chemical and physical wood characteristics, chemical processing of wood. Wood defects, wood pests, Large-area and sintered boards. Saw-milling processing of wood, lumber and wood protection, sintered boards. Importance, use, and division of plastics. Plastics fabrication, division, and characteristics. Thermoplastics, meaning and use. Standardization of plastics with respect to their chemical structure and mechanical qualities. Processing and surfacing of plastics. Gluing and joining of plastics. Plastics as a part of environment, their impact on surroundings. Marking standardization and reuse of plastics, recycling. Other selected non-metallic materials (natural materials and their application in technical education).
