Course content
This seminar is focused on the use of multimedia in teaching foreign languages. Detailed analysis of the various media with regard to their application in language teaching. Emphasis on practical knowledge and its application in practice. Linking with didactics and methodology of teaching. 1. General introduction to multimedia. 2. Multimedia and German language teaching. 3. Sound recording and its usage in course. 4. Internet search engines suitable for German teachers. 5. Workshop on topic: Internet search engines suitable for German teachers. 6. Chat as a way of conversation and knowledge testing of pupils/students. 7. Workshop on topic: Chat as a way of conversation and knowledge testing of pupils/students. 8. Websites suitable for teachng German language: kika.de, nj.de, daf.de, hueber.de... 9. Workshop on topic: Websites suitable for teachng German language. 10. Webcam in teaching German. 11. MP3, DVD, and video cameras in the classroom. 12. Workshop on topic: Webcams, MP3, DVD and video cameras in the classroom. 13. Internet and other multimedial dictionaries. 14. Workshop: The summary of practical knowledge.

to have knowledge of German language at the level B2 and higher
to have an overview of MS Office computer programs (Word, PowePoint, etc.), Internet browsers (Explorer, Mozilla, Google, etc.), and current software (Skype, Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
