Course content
1. Introduction, explanation of the concepts of variation and variety. 2. Diatopic, diastratic and diaphasic variation of German. 3. Characteristics of Standard German. 4. Austrian German. 5. Swiss German. 6. Colloquial German. 7. Dialects. 8. Sociolect. 9. Youth slang. 10. Gender differences in communication. 11. Professional language.

  • Contact hours - 24 hours per semester
  • Presentation preparation (report in a foreign language) (10-15) - 15 hours per semester

Student has knowledge at the level of completed Bachelor degree at the Department of German at Faculty of Education at WBU in Pilsen.
