Seminars 1. - 2. Introduction to mindfulness and meditation (definition, benefits of both techniques in promoting health and relieving stress and tension, meditation effects and mechanism of mindfulness, EBM findings, a view of cognitive neuroscience and mindfulness scientific research); three types of meditation - concentration, kindness and open attention. 3. Techniques focused on breathing (mindful breathing) and the present mind or alertness. 4. Mindfulness, body and stress management (self-awareness and perception of one's own feelings) - introduction and practice of body-scan technique. 5. Mindfulness and gratitude - introduction and practice of gratitude techniques. 6. Self-kindness - introduction and practice of technique of developing friendship with each other. 7. Kindness to others - introduction and practice of the technique of developing friendship with others. 8. Mindfulness and fear management - introduction and practice of fear management practice. 9. - 10. Presentation of a paper on a given topic in a colloquium. Practicals 1. - 2. Mindfulness in everyday life - creating habits associated with mindfulness; Supporting the habit of regular meditation and increasing motivation for independent meditation practice. 3. Meditation training, practice of selected mindfulness techniques. 4. Meditation training, practice of selected mindfulness techniques. 5.
