Course content
|
Lectures 1. General neurology - introductory repetition of anatomy, physiology of the nervous system. 2. Neurological propedeutics. 3. Auxiliary examinations - electrophysiological laboratory methods, lumbar puncture, radiodiagnostic methods. 4. Stroke (CMP) - TIA, hemorrhage, ischemia. Subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAK), vascular malformation. Disorders of individual cranial nerves. 5. Seizures - epilepsy, status epilepticus, non-epileptic seizures. Brain Injury (Como, Contusion). Differential diagnostics of consciousness disorders. 6. Nervous system autoimmune disorder - Guillan Barre syndrome. Multiple sclerosis. Pathophysiology etiology, symptomatology, diagnosis and therapy in individual diseases. 7. Inflammatory diseases of the CNS, thrombophlebitis of the veins, aseptic meningitis, brain abscess, purulent meningitis, Lyme disease, tick-borne encephalitis, shingles, prion infections, HIV. 8. Headache - migraine, tension cephalea, trigeminal neuralgia. 9. Vertebrogenic disorders - degenerative changes, cervical orifice, cervicocranial syndrome, cervicobrachial syndrome lumbago, lumboischiadic syndrome, cauda aequina syndrome. 10. Intracranial tumors. Degenerative diseases - Parkinson's disease, dementia (Alzheimer's disease) Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Peripheral nerve disorders - n.ischiadicus, n. Peroneus, n. Tibialis, n. Femoralis. Muscle diseases, myasthenia gravis. Exercises 1. - 3. Introduction to Nursing in Neurology - Neurological Propaedeutics, Specifics of Nursing Process in Neurology neurology - assessment, diagnostics. Electrodiagnostic methods. Possibilities in prehospital care. 4. - 5. Nursing care for a patient with stroke. Quality criteria for patient care with stroke - the role of rescuer. Focus on time. 6. - 7. Nursing care for a patient with epilepsy, convulsions. Visit video monitoring. 8. Nursing care of a patient with CNS inflammatory disease. Case report. 9. - 10. Nursing care of a patient with pain, the most common neurological diseases accompanied by pain. Case reports.
