Course content
|
The practice is focused on the area of health promotion and prevention of disease outpatient health services. Students will get acquainted with the structure of nursing care and services, with individual types of outpatient care facilities and especially with the organization of outpatient care services for women and children. They learn how to evaluate the environment (material and social) in which people live, the risks to their health, learn about the types of diseases that occur in the given environment with the need of preventive measures and methods of individual and group health education. They will learn basic skills in midwifery. Practice is also focused on a weekly practice in the department of surgery and internal medicine to focus on possible illnesses and injuries (and care for them), which can later be met by midwives in their work.
