Course content
|
Topic and aims of sexual education. Methods of sexual education for various age groups. Sexual development. Birth control, family planning, sexual behavior in the Czech Republic ? situation and fashion trends. Problems in sex life , sexual dysfunctions. Sexual counseling. Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Sex and drugs, sexual exploitation for commercial purposes. Educational activities focused on supporting health and prevention of diseases. Sexuality of ill and handicapped people. Didactic preparation of individual topics for future clients.

| Student will: 1. be familiar with the fundamentals of sexual education and its methods, 2. be able to explain and to be well oriented in the problems of sexual education of different age categories, to compile a plan of education on family planning and sexually communicable diseases, to elucidate the function of sexual education in nurse?s work, to remember the basic sexological terminology, to identify the link among sexuality, partnership and disease, to choose a right procedure when analyzing the client?s sexual life, and to define the problems of sexuality of the diseased and the disabled. |
