Course content
The subject contains a systematic overview of information on combined disability. Students will get acquainted with the categories of handicap with multiple disabilties and with the specific symptoms and their impact on individual behavior, communication skills and p socialization. Content: 1. Multiple disabilties: delimitation and terminology, 2. Categories and classification, 3. Physical disabilities other disabilities, 4. Cerebral palsy, 5. IIntellectual disabilities, 6. Down syndrome and other forms of chromosomal aberrations, 7. Autistic spectrum disorders and other pervasive developmental disorders, 8. Combination of sensory impairment with other disability types, 9. Deaf-blind, 10. Communication disorders, 11. Behavioral disorders associated with other types of disability, 12. Therapy, education and personality development in individuals with severe and profound disability.

Learning activities and teaching methods
  • Contact hours - 26 hours per semester
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 10 hours per semester
  • Presentation preparation (report) (1-10) - 5 hours per semester
  • Undergraduate study programme term essay (20-40) - 20 hours per semester
