Course content
|
Student practice selects from the list of cooperating organizations through the web to the professional practices of the special education program. Practice can be done at the student's workplace if its activity is related to the field of study and it is a registered social service within the meaning of the Social Services Act No. 108 / 2006Sb. For Continuous Practice 1, three weeks (15 working days) are reserved in the semester defined in the student's schedule and are devoted to it 7 hours a day.

Prior to enrolling in the course, the student will review resources and backgrounds related to practices. It is assumed that the student will be acquainted with at least the following documents: 1. Legislation in force (School Act and its Implementing Decree, Act on Educational Workers, the Law on Social Services and its Implementing Decree), 2. The Code of Ethics of the Czech Social Worker, 3. Practical Guide for Students of Special Education at FPE UWB, 4. Rules for professional practice. The student is required to acquaint himself / herself with the content of the individual documents to be submitted to the credit, in the Practice Guide of the student of special pedagogy at the FPE UWB and also on the web to the practice. |

Successful launch and completion of Practical training course 1 assumes that: 1. student in a specified time before the beginning of the semester actively search for information on practices and practical professional education on the website of professional practice of Special Education study programme, 2. student is responsible for handling the administration of professional practical training. He/she contacts (in person or by telephone) the organization and agrees on the completion of practice with the coordinator (or instructor), 3. with the help of school website practical training registration system student prepares the contract in 3 copies and each copy procures with their signature, 4. student must become familiar in details with the contract of the realization a professional practice and must comply with its terms, including confidentiality, 5. student approaches to practice conscientiously, responsibly, his/her goal is to get as much information about the organization's mission, its objectives, organizational structure, the users of social services, working methods and the specificity of social work there and, 6. during the practical training student is responsible for representing the university in place of practical training especially by following the rules agreed. |

In relation to the client, the student is oriented to the client's situation and needs (people with disabilities or disadvantages), can assess his / her social situation, create a plan to work with the client and choose the appropriate way of intervention. The student is also able to acquire the necessary information and to use it for the benefit of the client, realizes, develops and can end the work with the client, all on the basis of acceptance and mutual cooperation, recognizes risk factors and can determine the limits of his support, |
