1. Introduction to evolution of terms and concepts in Special and Inclusive Education. 2. Definition of Terms and Concepts in Special and Inclusive Education. 4. United Nations' Conventions on Persons with Disabilities and their implications. 5. General Classification & characteristics of learners with special and inclusive education. a. sensory impairments b. cognitive differences c. communication difficulties d. emotional and behavioural difficulties e. physical and multiple difficulties and f. those living under especially difficult and circumstances 6. OECD Country Categorization of Learners with Disabilities and Special Needs. a. Category A: Disabilities b. Category B: Difficulties c. Category C: Disadvantages 7. Appropriate terminology in Special and Inclusive Education 8. Advocacy and promotion of use of appropriate terminologies. 9. The role of mainstream and social media.
