Course content
. Definition of the terms: health and society. 2. Global aspects of social health. 3. Theoretical background on the impact of society on people. 4. Social groups and their influence on social health I. 5. Social groups and their influence on social health II. 6. Social processes in interpersonal relations: communication I. 7. Social processes in interpersonal relations: communication II. 8. Styles of ineffective social behaviour: aggression, manipulation, passivity I. 9. Styles of ineffective social behaviour: aggression, manipulation, passivity II. 10. Effective social behaviour: assertiveness. 11. Etiquette as a global social factor in enhancing social health I. 12. Etiquette as a global social factor in social health promotion II. 13. Conclusion, summary, reflection of the teaching.

Define health. Characterise the determinants of health. Describe the health promotion system in the Czech Republic. Explain the nature of documents aimed at health protection. Explain the principles of social communication and dynamic processes of social groups.
Skills
Evaluate the ways of fulfilling health at present. Analyse the determinants of health in terms of their impact on health promotion in society. Assess the strategies of the health promotion system in the Czech Republic from different perspectives. Apply health promotion documents to different areas of everyday life. Recognize the principles of social communication and dynamic social group processes according to their impact on members in society.
