Course content
Introduction to Business Intelligence (BI) - the significance of BI for managerial and corporate decision-making; working with data: key concepts, data analysis in the context of business management; practical examples of BI applications in various areas of business; overview of basic BI tools and their use in managerial practice. BI as support for managerial decision-making - BI in human resources and HR; BI in procurement processes; in project management; in production etc. BI for effective corporate management - the use of BI to improve managerial decision-making; practical examples from various management areas; BI as a tool for adaptation to change. BI and business opportunities - the fundamental impact of BI on business; BI as an opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises and a source of competitive advantage. Challenges and issues in implementing BI - obstacles and challenges in the adoption of BI in businesses. Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) - the role of AI in the modern business environment; key concepts and applications in practice; overview of tools for AI. AI for innovation in corporate management - AI in human resources and HR; AI in procurement, supply chain management, production; AI in operations and manufacturing, etc. AI and business opportunities - the fundamental impact of AI on business; practical examples of AI applications in corporate activities; AI as an opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises. AI and ethics in business - ethical questions related to AI in corporate management. Summary, discussion, the importance of AI and BI for the business environment.
