Course content
Concept of sustainable development, sustainability - evolution, principles, meaning, current status, global initiatives and perspectives (UN Global Compact, SDGs, ESG reporting, etc.) Related concepts - corporate social responsibility (CSR), social entrepreneurship, circular economy, etc. Sustainability in business, sustainability and business competitiveness - business in a changing environment, sustainability as an opportunity for innovation, creation of new business models Importance of ESG legislation/reporting, ESG - G - governance. ESG - E - environmental factor ESG - S - social factor Implementation of sustainability principles in strategic, tactical and operational management, setting sustainability strategy Circular economy in detail - principle, setting in practice Carbon footprint of a product, company - calculation, procedure, importance for company management Sustainability reporting, tools, standards, norms and concrete examples Sustainability management from the perspective of selected economic entities, case studies, concrete examples
