Course content
The contents of the work is given by the Assignment of the Diploma Theses, where the department defines objectives, contents, and the methology of the theses. The student is supposed to prepare the defence with respect to the reports written by the supervisor and a further reviewer. The student is obliged to respond to all the comments and to answer all the additional questions. The process of the defence is discussed with the supervisor before. The usual duration is appx. 30 minutes including the presentation, answering additional questions and the evaluation by the exam committee. The rules are given by the Study and Examination statute of the University of West Bohemia.

-to understand in detail the civil law regulation of the substantive and civil process
- to formulate one's own ideas in a legal language

- apply detailed knowledge of civil substantive law and civil procedural law
- analyze and critically evaluate the legislation in force
- to formulate one's own ideas in a legal language
- create a professional first text focused on narrowly defined issues of civil law of substantive and civil proceedings in the scope and quality required by the relevant decree of the Dean of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen

Knowledge
Completion of this course will ensure that the student is able to present his/her independent work to the exam committee, defend the treated project and used methods and critically evaluate the achieved results outline prognosis of further development in the respective field. The student is capable to present the results of his individual research before an expert comittee, defend his project and choice of methods of scientific work and at the same time critically evaluate achieved results and outline prognosis of further development in the respective field.
