Course content
|
1. Models and concepts of giftedness (Tannenbaum, Renzulli, Monks, Gagne ...). 2. Characteristics of gifted pupils (types of gifted, characteristic manifestations of gifted children and pupils in school). 3. Self-concept of gifted pupils, social-emotional problems of the gifted. 4. Requirements for the teacher's personality when working with gifted pupils (performance and character qualities, pedagogical-psychological skills). 5. Specifics of communication with psychologist, special educator and parents of gifted children and pupils. 6. Identification of gifted children-pupils in kindergarten (forms, ways, methods). 7. Approaches to education of the gifted (acceleration, enrichment, socialization). 8. Creating an individual educational plan for a gifted pupil. 9. Assessment of gifted children (functions and forms of assessment, common gaps in gifted assessment, perceptions of equity). 10. Inclusion of gifted children in the traditional collective of the kindergarten (forms and methods supporting interaction of gifted children and pupils with other pupils). 11. Problem situations in working with gifted children and pupils in the Kindergarten. 12. Case studies of gifted children.
