Course content
1. The introduction into psychology 2. Basic psychological methods 3. Senzoric processing and attention. 4. Imagines, Memory. Phantasy and creativity. 5. Thinking, problem solving phases, thinking and speech. 6. Memory, attention. 7. Emotion and will. 8. Personality structure. 9. Motivation, needs, interests. 10. Character, attitude. Self-regulating traits. 11. Performance properties. 12. Temperament, basic typologies. 13. Personality forming in difficult life situations (frustrations, deprivation, stress, conflict).

  • Practical training (number of hours) - 39 hours per semester
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 30 hours per semester

Knowledge
Basic terminology from General Psychology within the scope of secondary schools.
learning outcomes
- describe basic psychological methods
- characterise mental phenomena (senzoric processing, perception, imagines, memory, phantasy, creativity, thinking, speech, attention, emotions and will)
- describe the term personality, define its structure
- explain the main models of personality determination
- characterize individual personal components (motivation, character, attitudes, self-regulation traits, temperament and its basic typologies, ability, aptitude, inteligence, crativity)
- make a list of basic kwowledges about personality forming in difficult life situations (frustration, deprivation, stress and conflict)
Skills
- provide self-reflcetion of one´s own personality, i.e. describe and critically analyze the results of non-standardized techniques based on self-reflection
- make a list of possible components of the determination of some personal traits, try to expose their potence and reserves
- set the goals of one´s own personality development
- apply theoretical knowledges about coping with difficult life situations during their solving
- assign a seminar paper on topic: "The description of some personality traits and their possible determination and self-regulation"
