Course content
1. Transformation of the traditional family into nuclear. 2. Family (definition, features, functions, socio-cultural determination, history). 3. Choosing a partner (partnership duration, Marriage disrupting properties of the first and second order). 4. Characteristics of the pre-marriage period. 5. Typology of marital cohabitation (personality traits of spouses, value preferences). 6. The influence of the parents' marriage model on the relationship. 7. Material and economic assumptions. 8. Pair communication. 9. Emotional and sexual partners. 10. Disorders of marital cohabitation (intramatrimonial and extramatrimonial problems). 11. Parenting (role characteristics, parental typology). 12. Educational styles (positives, negatives, educational disorders). 13. Problem family, pathology in the family.

Knowledge
define the theories of choosing a partner and characterise the pre marriage period,
classify different types of parental and marital cohabitation according to various points of view,
describe components and dynamics of cohabitation,
characterise the parental role.
Skills
provide the self-reflection of making the criteria for choosing of a partner,
evaluate one´s own strongs and weaknesses in the process of performing marital and parental roles,
on the base of study case analysis, to recognize family issues (problem and clinical family).
