Course content
Syllabus content: 1. The importance of psychology for helping professions; the difference between psychology and psychotherapy. 2. Basic cognitive processes (thinking, learning, memory, concentration) and their changes in response to stress. 3. Basic affective processes (perception, emotions, feelings, hypersensitivity) and their changes in response to stress. 4. Basic cognitive and affective specifics of individual developmental periods, the importance of attachment in social interaction. 5. The influence of the actor's personality on the dynamics, intensity and effectiveness of social interaction in a multicultural environment. 6. Basics of communication - verbal and non-verbal and their meaning and changes in interpersonal interaction based on the context of the situation. 7. Basics of psychopathology and diagnostics - cooperation with a psychologist. 8. The impact of stress on individuals in the context of human needs - starting point bio, psycho, socio-spiritual model of approach to people and possible coping strategies. 9. Conflict resolution strategies according to the context. 10. Health psychology and positive psychology.
