Course content
|
The course is focused on gaining basic and advanced knowledge of management techniques needed to manage any team of people. In the seminars these theories, techniques and methods are discussed and applied on practical examples. Students will gain an overview of modern approaches to management and leadership, techniques and methods for effective self-management, creating, leading, coordinating teams and self-knowledge for the role of manager and leader. Emphasis is placed on understanding the integrity of the leader, a variety of basic tools for effective communication, creating the conditions for teamwork, using collective intelligence to achieve short and long-term results, and understanding the functioning of self and others (subordinates/supervisors/peers). 1.
