Course content
|
1. Definition, specifics and functions of children's literature. Different classification criteria. Classification of children's literature in terms of the age of the child. The relationship between adult and children's literature. 2. Characteristics of genres of children's literature and their classification. Issues of didacticism and ideology. 3. Overview of small folklore genres (lullabies, budgets, verses...). Children's folklore. 4. An overview of larger genres of folklore (folk tales, myths, legends...). 5. The emergence of children's literature in Russia. Children's literature in the 19th century, the close relationship between pedagogy and children's literature 6. Representatives of children's literature of the 19th century (Russian writers for children - e.g. Pushkin, Turgenev, Dostoevsky). 7. Pedagogical activity of L. N. Tolstoy and his literary works for children. 8. An overview of Russian children's literature in the first half of the 20th century (Chukovsky, Marshak, Dragunsky, Uspensky, Shvarts, Kharms and others). 9. Review of Russian children's literature in the second half of the 20th century (Nosov, Bulychev and others). 10. Contemporary Russian authors of literature for children and youth. 11. Adventure literature, science fiction, fantasy, comics. 12. The function of illustration in children's books. 13. Reading club.
