Course content
Phonetic and phonological Russian system in comparative Russian-Czech system. Vocals, consonants and sound combinations. Suprasegmental prozodic features. Standard of literal pronunciation. Transcription, transliteration. Grapheme and orthography. Thematic plan: 1. Phonetic system study and its basic elements. Articulation phonetics and physiology of organs of speech. Articulation of sounds and criteria for for its classification. 2. Acoustic phonetics. Phonology. Phoneme and allophone. 3. Stress. Reduction. Unstressed words. 4. Syntagmatic segmentation of the sentence (phrasing). 5. Intonation. Intonation constructions according to Je.A.Bryzgunova. 6. Russian vowels, their articulation-acoustic and functional characteristics. Phonetic transcription of vowels. 7. Phonetic accommodation. 8. Russian consonants, their articulation-acoustic and functional characteristics. Phonetic transcription of consonants. 9. Assimilation, dissimilation, ?diereza?. 10. Orthoepy. Principles of Russian literary pronunciation. 11. Distinctions of Russian graphics in comparison to the Czech one. 12. Orthography. Principles of russian spelling. 13. Transcription and transliteration.
