Course content
|
1. Objectives of working with literary texts in primary school: 1) intercultural knowledge, 2) language development, 2) personal development. 2. Literacy and reading promotion. Children's reader. 3. Home and field reading. Reading workshops. 4. From reading with translation to reading comprehension to interpretation of an artistic text. 5. The literary canon. Working with key passages. 6. Exploratory reading. The book as an aesthetic artefact. Paratext. 7. Experiential reading. Artistic text as a source of aesthetic and sensory enrichment, development of emotionality, imagination, fantasy, figurative thinking, empathy. Literary text as an opportunity to develop key competences. 8. Literary reading. 9. Ways of visualising information from the text (Venn diagram, associogram, T-diagram, V-CH-D, dramatisation, use of icons and diagrams, etc.). 10. Transformation of literary text in education (adaptation, dramatization, illustration, book-trailer, comic, storrytelling, etc.). 11. Quantitative methods of inquiry as applied to literary text. 12. Reading and creative writing. 13. Summary, panel discussion with possible guests, idea exchange, literary workshop.
