Course content
1. Initial seminar. Methodology of the course and record keeping. European Language Portfolio for adults. 2. Motivational and de-motivational factors in teaching/learning a foreign language. Language barrier. Specifics of the initial phase of teaching. Work plan. 3. - 6. Individual acquisition of an unknown language (coursework or self-study), record keeping. 7. Continuous seminar. Discussion: Method of assessment of the teacher´s work, teaching methods, homework, difficulties in learning a foreign language, psychological factors (memory). Continuous monitoring students' diaries. 8. - 11. Individual acquisition of the unknown language (coursework or self-study), record keeping. 12. Final seminar. Discussion: the work of students and the effectiveness of self-reflection of their own as a pupil for their own teaching practice. Evaluation of seminar papers and feedback to students.

learning outcomes
Students will learn the basics for him a new foreign language. Using the gained knowledge, students are able to self-assess themselves and describe the chosen learning styles. They are able to prognose the learners difficulties in the process of foreign language acquisition.
