Course content
Topics: 1) The Holocaust and its impact on contemporary anthropological thinking. 2) The theory of nations and nationalism. 3) Migration and transnationalism. 4) Introduction to the study of national minorities. 5) Contemporary Romance Studies and Vietnamology. 6) The city as the contemporary world of anthropology. 7) Places and non-places. 8) Landscape as the contemporary world of anthropology. 9) Ritual in anthropological research. 10) Sacrum et profanum. 11) The social construction of reality. 12) Modernity and postmodernity. 13) Historical anthropology.
