Course content
|
The contents of the course focus on bringing the phenomenon of identities closer (with special regard to their local and regional form), which can now be understood as a social construct influenced by various factors, some of which have considerable flexibility. These identities can be considered as entities evolving in time with the ability to expand and contract, to extinguish existing ones and to create new ones. Within these dynamic processes, they are also prone to internal structural transformations. In addition to the theoretical definition of the basic concepts, the subject will focus on two basic thematic lines: a) the role of the individual and community (in the role of insider and outsider) in forming a common consciousness bound to a particular place or area; b) the importance and the share of cultural elements of material and non-material nature in this process (shared characteristics through which today's inhabitants identify with the locality and the region and which they use to affect the individual aspects or the uniqueness of the territory as seen from the outside), incl. handling of selected phenomena in the role of local and regional attributes (image real / schematized / transformed, "finding new traditions"). In the context of these two axes of focus, attention will be paid to the observation of other functions of selected elements of culture (integration, differentiation), to the role of auto- and heterostereotypes in forming their own identity and to perceiving other (local, regional, provincial) identities, and to the issues of regio- and localcentrism. a) to characterize and appropriately use the basic concepts of identity study and ethnographic zoning b) to characterize and be well versed in the basic classification of material and non-material phenomena of the traditional culture of the Central European space and their genesis; c) to be well versed in the basic concepts and methods of ethnographic field research; (d) to characterize the potential of older sources of research for research and to identify appropriate sources within the defined research objective; e) to be well versed in the basic concepts and methods of the etnocartographic method; f) to establish contact with respondents and conduct field research in accordance with the methodological principles of the field and the Ethical Code of the Czech Ethnographic Society, z.s.

| Navázat kontakt s respondenty a vést terénní výzkum v souladu s metodologickými zásadami oboru a Etickým kodexem České národopisné společnosti, z. s. |
| Číst a porozumět odborné literatuře v domácím a zahraničním jazyce a reflektovat takto získané poznatky pro svůj výzkum a výstupy. |
| Realizovat terénní výzkum na zvolené téma. |
| Kvalifikovaně pracovat a vytěžovat starší pramenné materiály. |
| Vyhodnotit získaná data. |
| Na základě zpracování a interpretace získaných dat vytvořit kultivovaný odborný text různého formátu (rukopisná analýza výzkumu, konferenční příspěvek, materiálový příspěvek nebo studie). |
