Course content
- History of the term, "culture" before anthropology. - Evolutionism. - Diffusionism and historical particularism. - Functionalism, structural functionalism, configurationism. - Cultural ecology and cultural materialism. - Structuralism. - Symbolic and interpretive anthropology. - Culture, cultural criticism and critical anthropology. Culture and cultural studies. - Culture and identity. - Politicization of culture.

Tylor, through its golden years to the analysis of contemporary deconstructivist approaches that move it from the position of the tool of analysis to the position of the subject
to characterize and explain the concept of culture of major anthropological schools and directions
to characterize and explain (post) modern trends pointing to the "invention" of the culture of anthropology
to present formally and interpret the concept, (post) modern directions, development of the anthropological concept of culture

to relate the concept of culture to the related concepts of the anthropological theoretical and methodological apparatus (cultural relativism, evolutionism, etc.), as well as to other key concepts of the social sciences (race, ethnicity, etc.)
to present, analyze and discuss the concept of culture of major anthropological schools and trends
