Course content
- classic approaches to the study of professions - Marx, Weber and functionalist studies - classic approaches to the study of professions = interactionalist studies - the critique of classic approaches - feminist approaches to studies of professions and critique of classic theories of professions and professional projects - studies of classic professions - case studies - contemporary work within the area of the sociology of professions: discussions about the term "profession" - professionalism and professionalization - managerialism - entrepreneurialism and professions - professions and the state - social stratification and professions - gender aspects of professions and professionalization
