1. Introduction. Book development from a scroll to the invention of letterpress. 2. Book development from the invention of letterpress to the 19th century. 3. Graphic artists until the end of the 19th century. 4. Illustration of the late 19th century I: Arts and Crafts, Art nouveau. 5. Illustration of the late 19th century II: Art nouveau, symbolism and decadence in the Czech region. 6. Illustrations and the avant-garde I: expressionism, cubism. 7. Illustrations and the avant-garde II: futurism, dadaism. 8. Illustrations and the avant-garde III: constructivism, surrealism. 9. Illustrations for children and youth and its specifics. Czech illustration until 1990 I. 10.Czech illustration until 1990 II. 11.Czech illustration until 1990 III. 12.Czech illustration after 1990. Publishers, festivals, awards. 13.Summary and review.
