Course content
|
- Entity-relational databases, their principles, rules and principles used in designing and managing. - Database concepts, Entity-relationship model (ERM), drawing convention (Entity-relationship diagram), data modeling. - Data types used in databases, benefits and disadvantages of their use. - Database objects, their meaning and application in a relational database. - Tables in the relational database context, importance and use of primary and foreign keys, data types and relations, data import and export. - Queries, their types and uses for organizing and managing data in a relational database, query criteria and rules associated with writing them. - Types of database functions, ways of writing and possibilities of their application. - Interactive forms and reports in a local entity-relational database. Features and use of components in form and database assembly. - Database systems, their availability and their use in the private and public business sphere, government and school facilities. - Database security, authenticated access, sharing, and multi-user access to the database. - Database language, its syntax and examples of use with respect to the selected database system. - Ability to write and present data content of a relational database on the public network. - Typical tasks and didactic principles in the teaching of databases and database systems in the context of selected thematic units of the curriculum.
