The objective of the excursion Art Tour II is to familiarize students with one of the most important collections and permanent expositions of modern and contemporary art at the Trade Fair Palace (Veletržní Palác) of the National Gallery, and, if possible, also with other current exhibitions of contemporary art in Prague progressive galleries. The mission of the excursion is to provide students with immediate contact with works of art studied within their theoretical art history courses. The parallel mission of the excursion is also to familiarize them with up-to-date curatorial approaches to the presentation of modern and contemporary art, including the gallery´s educational activities aimed at both general public and children.
