Course content
1. The role of audiovisual and photography - the importance of visual and audiovisual literacy 2. Film and audiovisual education in the Czech Republic and abroad, history and present 3. Photography in education, history and present 4. Significant milestones in the history of European and world film 5. Czech and Czechoslovak films, history and present 6. History of photography, significant milestones and present 7. The importance of semiotic and neoformalist analysis of film art, including narrative and non-narrative forms 8. Film and TV genres, characteristics and present 9. Photographic genres, characteristics and present 10. The Importance of Digital Video and Photography - Bitmap and video editor editors and their options 11. The process of video production (theme, storyboarding and types of scenarios, production and post-production) 12. The process of photographic creation (theme, photo-script and forms of stylization) and its reflection in education 13. Photographs and audiovisuals in mass media and culture

to explain the transformations of photography, audiovisual and cinematography in the context of historical development;
to explain the functions of film and audiovisual art in contemporary society and culture;
to clarify the concept of video art and place it in the broader context of audiovisual culture.

to compose a script and create a video according to your own creative intentions;
to use the expressive possibilities of audiovisual production and master some digital techniques;
to experiment with the medium of photography and judiciously make post-production adjustments to the content of the visual expression;
to plan learning tasks for primary school pupils focusing on photography, film and audiovisual production.
