Course content
1. History and importance of graphic and motion design, digital illustration. 2. Vector and graphic editors, animation software. 3. Functions and development of fonts, grouping fonts into word units, font types, font selection or combination. 4. Font in books, advertising and promotion. Hierarchy of text, image, accentuated information. 5. Dynamic and static composition, colour in graphic design. 6. Graphic stylization - ornament, pictogram, typographic exercises - monogram, typographic composition, uniform visual style - logotype, business card, flyer, invitation, etc.). 7. Possibilities of digital illustration. Drawing style and imitation of classical drawing and painting techniques (watercolour, charcoal, pencil, crayon, pen and ink, acrylic, airbrush, etc.). 8. Drawing storyboards, comics and educational illustration. 9. Animated typography and text animation. 10. Animation of shapes and graphics (masks and animation presets). 11. Visual effects and plug-ins. Photo and character animation. 12. Creation of animated logo, banner and movie title. 13. Graphic design, illustration and motion design in pedagogical practice.

Knowledge
to describe the basic means of expression in the field of graphic design;
to control graphic software (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) at a basic level;
to describe materials and aids for printing from height and depth at the basic level.

to use the form in accordance with the content and purpose;
to use the correct principles of graphic design solution;
to use skills in graphic techniques;
to use the means of expression of other disciplines and to select graphic techniques.

Knowledge
to describe and clarify the technological procedures of each technique of graphic and motion design;
to manage advanced graphics software (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop);
to describe the context of printmaking and the moving image in art and other artistic disciplines.
Skills
to use the form in accordance with the content and purpose - according to the content and purpose of the print or motion design;
to originally stylize the chosen motif to be unambiguous, visually distinct and easily memorable;
to choose rationally and functionally a balanced, harmonic or dramatic, expressive color solution;
to imaginatively develop of graphic solutions in sketch variants, respond appropriately and inventively to proofreading suggestions and prove, according to the requirements set, to make proposals in graphically pure and formally precise finality;
to use the correct choice of dynamic or static composition and choose the appropriate font types and combine them appropriately;
to apply the tasks of applied graphics in pedagogical practice.
