Course content
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to equip students with specific knowledge about the problems of ceramic art. Practical exercises supported by the theoretical knowledge will allow wider and deeper development of specialized art dispositions of students in the production and reception of spatial expression, art objects, or sculptures or sculptures. The methodical principle is to use the experience of our own works for a deeper understanding of the art. The focus of the subject lies in the imagination and the finding of provisional solutions, teaching is mainly directed to experiments with traditional and completely new materials. Students improve their manual skills, learn the sense of material and its expression. At the beginning of the search for the solution of the assigned tasks is a discussion with the teacher, which is always preceded by a research reflecting the actual solution of the task or possibly some historical inspiration. During the semester the student solves tasks of this type: 1. - 3. Possibilities of ceramic relief (burnt clay) 4. - 6. Set of three vases (realization of one vase, six drawings of A3 format) 7. - 10. Ceramic Drinker (Visualization in 3D Program). Tea set - kettle + cups + sugar bowl (technical drawing, 1: 1 gypsum model, mold and casting) 11. - 13. Ceramic dividing wall (presentation, poster 2x A3)
