Course content
Seminars: Artistic and reflective activities. Reflection in all its forms benefits from lecture knowledge training. Lectures: 1. Definition of art 2. Art and psychoanalysis 1 (Jung, Freud, surrealism) 3. Art and psychoanalysis 2 (Lacan, Žižek, poststructuralism) 4. Art and psychoanalysis 3 (psychoanalytic analysis in practice) 5. Changes of the modernist paradigm (modernism, postmodernism, altermodernism, metamodernism) 6. Representation of the subject in the context of modern and contemporary art (autonomous and engaged art) 7. Representation of the subject in the context of modern and contemporary art (institutional critique) 8. Representation of the subject in the context of modern and contemporary art (death of the author, deskilling, conceptual art) 9. Representation of the subject in the context of modern and contemporary art (politics of identities, postcolonialism) 10. Representation of the subject in the context of modern and contemporary art (art on the Internet, posthumanism) 11. Representation of the subject in the context of modern and contemporary art (Speculative realism, ecology)

to interpret, justify and apply the theory of artefiletics;
to interpret, justify and apply the theory of hermeneutic interpretation of a work of art;
to recognize and interpret art history.

to use various art techniques and procedures for the realization of a work of art;
to verbalize and to formulate in writing the conclusions of reflection and self-reflection in relation to the creative process and its interpretation;
to cooperate in cooperative work in a group.
learning outcomes
Knowledge
to interpret, to substantiate and to apply advanced theory from the cultural and aesthetic field (mainly the history of art, aesthetics, philosophy and psychology);
to interpret, to justify and to apply the in-depth theory of perceptual and productive hermeneutic interpretation of a work of art;
to interpret, justify and apply the in-depth theory of 4 levels of expressive experience and its mentalization;
to interpret, justify and apply the in-depth theory of sociocognitive challenge and the relationship between concept and preconcepts.
Skills
to identify, analyze and evaluate in the implemented interpretations the key moments that determine the course of the creative process and the resulting work and then abstract them into more general categories and theoretical concepts;
to identify, analyze and evaluate a subjective approach in the interpretation process;
to interpret and paraphrase a work of art in artistic (expressive) and verbal language;
to find and implement alterations for the reception and productive interpretation of a work of art;
to demonstrate the ability of expressive group work and cooperation;
to conduct a constructive dialogue on the interpretation of a work of art and an expressive experience;
to verbalize and formulate in writing the conclusions of reflection and self-reflection of artistic experience in relation to active knowledge.
