Course content
Day 1 Technological basics. What are we drawing on? What do we draw? Practical exercises using angle technique. Basics of drawing. Equilibrium rule. Grouping into format. Track the whole. Exercises for spatial and compositional variations of atelier still life. Point, line. Abstract studio work on real motif or landscaping. Surface, shape, light, color and space in the subject and non-objective view. Day 2 Fundamentals of painting (painting techniques with acrylic or oil paint on various types of pads, etc.). Image construction (color composition, color and shape, area, point, line, expression of painting, classical painting techniques, etc.). Basic lesson about the character of the painting. In mostly atelier lessons, listeners explore color relationships, develop their own color vision, and the diversity of tasks creates a relationship of intermingling between other visual disciplines. In the theoretical lectures they will get basic lessons on painting technology. Day 3 The aim of the third day is to equip the student with the basic skills and abilities to model the natural shapes of the leaf, cone, skull. To master, through simple spatial exercises, the application of shapes, materials and colors in space. Technological bases of relief modeling and sculpture portrait. Teach the student to create a head study both as a bust and as a relief. In the theoretical part, students acquaint themselves with the creation of spatial objects and apply their acquired experience in applied and free sculpture.
